A fortress without a wall to the river side is like a warship without a bottom. Also, I’m not sure how good tall walls are in a world of airlifted infantry.
And I love the graphical quality and the look of the world 🙂
Hi Calin! Thanks for the comment! Kessheim is one large trade post in the present days of Midgard. The walls are indeed not as effective as they look, but that is because of a plethora of reasons. Minor spoilers ahead. Magic is fairly common in Midgard, which already gives loads of ways around (and through) a wall, but that’s just one of the many reasons. There’s also the fact that magiknights exist, who in a proper formation pull down a wall quite fast. Finally, there’s also the point of aviation, which you pointed out. Although right now there’s only one country that has non-magic based aviation in mass-produced vehicles, that can soon become available elsewhere as well.
Sorry for the spirit of the previous comment. A real world trading post would look totally different, and this colored my perception.
But I’ll just ignore the issues and appreciate the story and wonderful images. Going too “real world” would make the drawings (and everything else) much too complex. After all, coming from lfg.co (literally from Looking For Group, via a pic link) I should have lower expectations 🙂
So, with chapter 1 finished, onward to chapter 2
No offense taken at all. As a matter of fact, every bit of feedback is appreciated. Tales of Midgard is our first webcomic after all. 🙂 I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying the story so far. Have fun reading!
