Do all members of the Royal Magic class come across as snobs in social situations?
– I love this story, and very much love the art on this page! Anna looks lovely (despite her confusion), and Archmage Heidr is quite beautiful as well! Thank you all for bringing your readers this adventure!
She is actually the second really really powerful person we meet in the story, remember, we met master Alex Rakki, although he didn’t do much yet. Aaaand yes, a lot of powerful people are like that. It comes with the fact that, in a way, you can literally exert your will onto the world surrounding you with magic. 🙂
Also thanks for telling us how much you like the pages. It truly means a lot to us. You, and everyone else here in the comments sections, are awesome!
Wonderful page. I love the ear jewelry that alludes to the stereotypical modern fantasy elf while still being very normal human shaped. I’m curious if it is purely ornamental or if there is a deeper purpose or use for it. It’s also an interesting touch that those are the only ornate thing she wears. No rings, amulets, brooches or anything else fancy. Even her dress is a very simple thing with what looks like a simple rope belt. I can’t see the shoes, but I’d be surprised if they weren’t rather simple looking too. The room is over the top and flashy, but she isn’t and that contrast allows for potentially very interesting things about her personality.
I’m really glad to hear that you like the page!
Clothing is always an interesting topic in any story, fictional ones especially. No matter who you look at there’s always a reason why they look the way they do. Lucretia is no different. Some reasons might be more mundane than others but diving deep into the “why?” is always interesting. 🙂
The truly powerful need no ornamentation, but the beauty mark is a nice touch. 🙂
I know it’s a bit strange–perhaps even foolish–but I find myself wishing that there is something that the Archmage can do to increase Anna’s magic reserves….
The layout and artwork continue to impress me. ^^
That’s definitely a possibility. I’m not saying that it’s likely to happen, but on a purely theoretical level that could happen. Although to be fair, until the way magic is unlocked in a person is discussed, which won’t be in the near future, it’s very difficult to say what is and isn’t possible with magic in Tales of Midgard. 🙂
