1Igor: The truth, nothing more, nothing less. Zent will support the reunification of Charr.
2Lucretia: Hmpf…
3Lucretia: We are leaving. Now.
4Anne: Who was that?
5Erik: Igor Björn. The head of the Charrian governing council. If there was a sovereign in Charr, most probably that man would be the emperor of Charr.
5Erik: However, because of international regulations Charr is obliged to have a council for governance.
5Erik: Some members of this council are appointed by Ilial, but it is said that the council does whatever Igor Björn wants…
Okay, this page has revealed a gap (or several) in my understanding. I know that Charr was broken into three parts after the war, but I can’t remember what each new “nation” is called–and couldn’t find the answer in a two-hour archive dive. I need a map. ><
Does the Charrian Council administer all three? That would seem….dangerous….even with the Illialian delegates on the
Council that could be a recipe for mischief. O.o
Igor's infuriating smirk is wonderfully done–congratulations! ^^
The first mention of the Charrian Empire being broken into three separate smaller countries was in chapter 3, see here: https://talesofmidgard.com/comic/ch3-p06/
There’s also a map in chapter 14: https://talesofmidgard.com/comic/ch14-p04/
All that said, it’s yet to be discussed how the current three Charrs are governed in practice. During the Crimson Charr Reunification Army incident there were a few mentions about the regulations in effect (such as limited trade and not having a standing army), but asides that there’s very little that can be currently known about this topic.
Ouch, I didn’t look at an early enough page. >< I suppose The Charrian Council doesn't deal with Narr and Tarr, then.
Thanks for pointing out the map (which I had forgotten about). 🙂
Happy to have helped! 🙂
