    Igor’s boast kinda sucked the joy out of their tour ><

    That's too bad–the place is SO beautiful! ^^

      Well one of them reeeeaaaly likes sightseeing. I’m sure if they go and check Minas Fril out it’s all going to be all right. Right?

        Well, if by “:sightseeing” you mean “shopping”, then, yes. ^^

    Hm… yeah. There’s definitely something personal about how Lucretia reacted to Igor’s presence, here. Old, personal, emotional wounds, resentment of some sort… in reaction to Igor or to Charr? In any case, Lucretia seems a troubled archmage.
    Guiding a sightseeing and/or shopping tour (or a visit to the arena?) will take her mind off of these matters, but I’m sure we’ll get back to them for a deeper look eventually.
    I dig character building. ^_^

    I’m quite interested to learn more about the history of this world, and what did the unified Charr empire do to be called “maddened”.
    Also, I don’t recall that we’ve encountered different languages yet, so I’m wondering if the “English” we’re reading is the same in all countries, and if so what sets apart their various cultures?
    I… also dig world building. ^_^;

      When writing Tales of Midard I try my best to create a living, breathing world that can be inhabited by characters who’re not just cardboard cutouts but real people. Alive. Meaning they have their strengths and weaknesses, likes, dislikes, habits and so on. And they are flawed and often hurt. On the surface everything seems fine, of course, it does, but deep down everyone is struggling with their demons, some are just more visible than others. Just like in real life.
      I’m glad to hear you like it so far because there’s more to come! Midgard still has quite a few corners to be discovered. 🙂

      And as for Charr specifically… Spoilers incoming! I’m not saying they went full Firenation when they got the technological edge compared to the rest of the world. They might have… Several times that is… But who knows… (☞゚∀゚)☞
